Didactic Poetry:
A type of poetry with little emotional aspect, written to inform, advise, or draw a lesson on a subject. In Turkish Literature; Yusuf Has Hacip, Nabi, Aşık Paşa, Hayriye, Tevfik Fikret, Ziya Paşa, Ziya Gökalp, and Mehmet Akif Ersoy have presented examples of didactic poetry. In Western Literature; John Milton, Alexander Pope and Kostis Palamas have presented famous examples of this type.
